WELCOME TO OUR SITE, WE ARE
PLEASED YOU COULD STOP BY

Point of Honor Kennels is a small family owned and operated kennel  in Gladwin, Michigan.  Gladwin is located in the lower portion of Northern Michigan and surrounded with thousands of  acres of state owned forest.  A prime location to raise, train and hunt some of the finest hunting dogs in the country. Here we raise  Hungarian Wirehaired Vizslas. After  years of careful breeding habits, this rare breed has just begun to make it's mark .   To date, there are little more than 400 Wirehaired Vizslas in the United States.  The Wirehaired Vizsla is a gentle, intelligent, versatile hunting dog.  Here in Michigan they are used primarily for wild game birds.  Our wirehaired vizslas work side-by-side with our German Wirehaired Pointers. The GWP trace their origins back about 120 years. Their primary ancestor was a breed called the Pudelpointer.  The Pudelpointer itself was developed by crossing the German Pudel and the English Pointer.   We would be Honored  to have you check out our site and learn more about our dogs.  Feel free to contact us about booking a hunt or purchasing a puppy when available.  Thank you for your time.  Hope to speak with you soon.
